Top Ten Tuesday 3.15.16

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the The Broke and the Bookish. Every week they post an idea for a 'Top Ten' list relating to books, and encourages other book bloggers to respond and participate. All the details are listed on their site. Check it out and join the fun!

This week's question: Top ten books on my spring TBR list!

In no particular order, here are the books I really want to read this spring! Hopefully I can stick to this list a little better than normal (: Some I've been wanting to read for so long and finally picked them up at the library! Others have been on my shelf for a while, and some are completely new to me!

1. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
2. Emmy and Oliver by Robin Benway
3. Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verges

4. The Lotus Eaters by Tatjana Soli
5. Where She Went by Gayle Forman
6. The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty

7. Missoula by Jon Krakauer
8. Doing Harm by Kelly Parsons
9. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
10. See Me by Nicholas Sparks

What books are on your spring TBR? I think with warmer weather coming, my reading might slow down a bit because I have so many outside projects to do, but I hope not too much! My list keeps getting longer and longer each day when I think of new landscaping projects, but we also plan to buy a new patio furniture set this year, so having a nice place to relax outside with a book will be perfect to round out all the hard work! ;)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga @ Tynga's Reviews. Its all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, whether physical or virtual books. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course, ebooks! ARCs

I found these two beauties waiting on my porch this week and I couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to dive into both of these and I'm not sure which to start first.

Laurie Elizabeth Flynn is new to me, so I can't wait to see what she has to offer. But I've read all of Gudenkauf's work and I'm a huge fan!

Feature and Follow Friday! 7.17.15

Feature and Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other blogs also. I follow you, you follow me.

The general rules are:
- Follow the Feature and Follow Hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read)
- Follow the Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post. This post is for people to say hi and that they are now following you in your comments.
- Follow, Follow, Follow as many as you can. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Don't just follow, comment and say hi in the post! Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say 'hi'
- If someone comments and says they are following you, please follow back!

This Week's Question: Post a funny Youtube video! (It doesn't have to be book related)

This is usually the first video I think of when I think of funny Youtube videos! It's super cute and plus I really love kittens, so it's the perfect combination (: Hope you enjoy!

June 2015 Wrap-Up

Here's the thing: I've been really, really bad lately about keeping up with my blog. Every time I think about it, I feel awful, but it doesn't change what I'm doing. I really do love blogging and sharing my love of books with everyone! But I have to blame real life getting in the way. I thought I was busy last summer with planning a wedding. But that hasn't even come close to how busy Paul and I have been this summer! I can't get over how swamped we are!!! With recently buying a home, having a never-ending list of house projects, baseball, softball, golf, work, cookouts... the list goes on and on. (I'm actually writing this right before another one of my husband's baseball games) I can't believe it's already July! (Birthday month, YAY!) But I'm going to make a conscious effort to blog more and really get back into this!

What to look forward to in July? Definitely more book reviews and meme posts! Like I said, I really want to get back into this and I hope that since our house projects are slowing down for the time being, I'll have some more time. I also have a few ideas of things that I want to do in the months to come... including a month where I only read re-reads. Anyone else game for that? I've got a few on my list already that I really want to re-read and I know I'll think of more soon.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July! You'll definitely be seeing from me more this month!

Tell Me Something Tuesday AND Top Ten Tuesday! 3.17.15

It's so nice when two of my favorite memes match up with subjects for the same week!

This week's question: Top picks for Spring 2015!

Oh so many good books to chose from! It's going to be a slower spring for me in terms of reading because I'm moving starting next week! Yay! Then my husband and I have many, many projects we want to do to our new house... as much as money permits, that is. :) But, I will definitely still make time for reading, so these are the ones I'm thinking of! Can't wait to get started! And HUGE bonus - it's starting to get nice outside and now that we own our own home with a big fenced in backyard, I'll be spending a lot of my time outside reading!!
