This weeks question: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, ebooks, paperback?
I usually prefer hardcover or paperback. I love being able to put books on my shelf and seeing them every time I go into my office or bedroom. My apartment is always littered with books laying everywhere and I love it (: Hardcovers are always so pretty looking on my shelves, but obviously paperbacks are generally smaller and easier card around. I'm not a huge fan of ebooks, though I have been reading more. I have the kindle app on my phone and iPad, and I agree that I like being able to read a book at any time without necessarily having it with me in physical form. However, I just love the feel of a book in my hands, and like I said, I love seeing them on my shelves. If I have the choice, I always go with a physical copy of the book, but if ebooks are only available, such as through netgalley, then I'll read those.
Happy Friday! I prefer reading paperbacks. I love the feel of real pages in my hand. I read eBooks sometimes, though. I think they're always faster to finish and you can easily highlight the passages you like.

Happy Reading! :)
thanks for stopping by :) I hear of a lot of people highlighting their favorite sections, but can't say I've ever tried that!
DeleteI was the same way for years...and then I started running out of surface space (shelves, tables, dressers, etc) in which to display mine so the switch to e-books was pretty necessary :D Thanks for stopping by this week and I'm a new Bloglovin' follower!
ReplyDeleteTraci@ Mad Hatter Reads
Haha I think I'll have that problem eventually too. Thankfully, my boyfriend just tells me to buy more bookshelves! I'm glad he's ok with my addiction! (i've told him we'll have a library in our house in the future)
Delete:) Happy reading!
Having those beautiful covers on my shelves is a desire I'm having a hard tamping down. I love hardcovers, but my shelves sometimes can't accommodate them, or they're too expensive. New Follower via Bloglovin' and GFC!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I just can't help myself, and I make room for all my books :) even if that means stacking them all over the place!
DeleteAlso following you via GFC and bloglovin!
DeleteGreat answer. The ease of ebooks is great and it makes me lean towards those every so often. But there's nothing like holding a book in your hands.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following. I'm following you back via Bloglovin!

DeleteHi, Tina! Thank you for stopping by my FF, and for your follow. I am now returning the favour.
ReplyDeleteGood answer by the way. I do still love paperbacks, and always will. I love seeing them, smelling them and being around them. They bring me calm. When e-readers came out I was totally against them, but now? I don't mind so much. It makes my life easier especially when one is reviewing (where highlighting is concerned), but if I've truly loved a book, I will also purchase said book in paperback. I have to own it - physically!
New GFC follower. :D
Happy Friday!
Sandra @ SSBF Blog
I think I will eventually do that as well - buying a physical copy of a book i really enjoyed as an ebook. I haven't read tons of ebooks yet, but i will be in the future i'm sure :)
DeleteWhile I love print, and beautiful covers, ebooks are currently winning just due to the amount of books I can carry around with me. I may be a book hoarder.
ReplyDeleteMei @ Diary of a Fair Weather Diver
yes, ebooks are definitely easier to carry around!
Deletethanks for stopping by!
I like real books and always want to buy more, but eBooks are usually more convenient and cheaper! But if I really love an eBook, I usually buy or plan on buying a hard copy of it for my shelf when I can!
ReplyDeleteNew follower on bloglovin! My FF
I'm not following you via bloglovin as well :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI didn't read many ebooks until I got my Nook - reading on my iPad or phone just doesn't compare. That said, I do still love physical copies! Like you said, it's always great seeing your favorite books sitting on your bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteNew Bloglovin' follower :)

Thanks for stopping by! I love seeing my books covering my shelves, desk, and tables :)
DeleteYup, there are pros and cons to either format. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Have a great weekend! :D

DeleteI love the Kindle apps too for blogging purposes but when I really want to keep them, its worth buying the physical book too. I love collecting my favorite books and sharing them with others.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow. Love your cheerful blog design. Following via bloglovin
i feel the same way! I love being able to lend books to my friends or my mom, and doing that with a kindle just isn't easy. And I don't want to just tell them to buy it, because they don't buy books like it do, so I would just feel bad.
DeleteIt is nice to have an ebooks app on my phone and ipad for blogging. I'm able to read review copies of ebooks that I otherwise wouldn't have the chance to read!
Thanks for the follow :)
I'm not a huge fan of Kindle apps just because my library and categories don't sync between devices. I hardly ever use the ones on my phone or computer for that reason. Plus, if I get anything from Netgalley, I'm not allow to share it to another device. /sigh

I know what you mean. To me, its much easier, and more enjoyable, to share physical books
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Physical books are great I love having them around, picking them up to read, and you can share them with others easier than ebooks which have restrictions and limitations. Also I love the feel of books, and seeing them everywhere too :)

ReplyDeleteSame here! I love arranging books on my shelf to stare at every time I walk into the room. Ebooks are awesome, but they don't hold a candle to physical copies. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Followed back via Bloglovin.
Daphne @ Reading Until Dawn
I agree :) My books are all alphabetized and I love it! Though its a pain when I get new ones because then I always have to move books from one shelf to the next, but its not too inconvenient that I'll switch solely to ebooks! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love my Kindle but nothing beats a physical book. Thanks for stopping by and im now following via Bloglovin'
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! (:
DeleteI have books all over too though i try to be good and keep them on my shelves so they aren't in my mister's way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post!

Amber @Paradise of Pages
Thanks for stopping by! My bf just told me the other day that I can only have the books out in the living room that I'm actually reading, and the rest need to be on my shelves... needless to say, I still have a couple extra books laying around that I'm not currently reading ;)
DeleteI think having the books around in physical form is a lot of fun, but I am an e-book lover myself. Thank you so much for stopping by my FF. New Bloglovin follower :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow and stopping by! Maybe someday I'll switch to ebooks, but probably not anytime soon :)
DeleteIt is the best feeling of having a bunch of books surrounding you, or littered all other the floor, in every nook and cranny lol! I totally get it! I love physical books and I find that I read a lot faster when I have the book in my hands rather than on my computer. Thanks for stopping by and new follower via bloglovin'!
ReplyDeleteShae @ Understanding Shae's Story
Im glad I'm not alone! lol I definitely agree with reading the books faster when I have a physical copy of it! Thanks for visiting my page!

I definitely read more ebooks now, but its really not that many compared to how many physical books I read. I doubt I'll switch over any time soon, but you never know!

ReplyDeleteI totally agree!! I love to look around and see all my books sitting proudly on my shelf. If I have the choice I always choice a physical copy. But like you if it's only available as an eBook I'll read it on my iPad :D
